Residents in one area of Beijing will now be able to get an online diagnosis and avoid long queues at hospitals, Beijing Youth Daily reported on Friday.
Â
Some 5,000 residents in Haidian district will be invited to log on and input their medical history and symptoms into a database. They will be offered a general online diagnosis with instructions on what to do, as well as dietary and exercise instructions.

Most of the residents in the pilot area are senior residents who need updated information to monitor the development of chronic diseases and office workers who need help.
